We bring the battery to you
We bring the battery to the car and fit it there. Driveway, workplace bay or car park. The car stays put. On a supply-and-fit visit the old battery leaves with the fitter, so you're not left with it to store.
We'll ring you to confirm the car, the battery and a safe place to work. If the car's in a live lane, call 999 before you send the form. This is a fitting visit, not a recovery truck.
The check before the spanner comes out
A healthy 12V battery rests around 12.6V. The fitter reads the resting voltage, looks at the case and notes how the car cranks. A cracked, leaking, swollen or frozen battery is not jumped. Those cases are handled as a replacement, with the leads left in the bag.
With the engine running, charging voltage is often about 13.8 to 14.7V. Smart charging can sit lower once the battery is reported full, so a single high reading is not the whole picture. The alternator is not a bulk charger. A battery flattened by short trips can still need replacing after it has started once.
Type, registration and the old unit
The part has to match the car. An AGM battery is replaced with AGM. An EFB may be upgraded to AGM. An AGM must not be downgraded to an EFB or to a plain flooded battery. Stop-start cars cycle the battery each time the engine switches off, so the wrong type is a repeat failure, not a saving.
Battery registration is commonly required on Volkswagen Group and many BMW and Mini models, and it varies on other marques. Where the car needs it, registration is done at the vehicle with a scan tool as part of the fit. The quote callback is where that step is confirmed, before anyone is booked.
London, Birmingham and Manchester only
Cover is mobile work in those three cities. There is no depot to drop the car into, and there is no fitting visit outside them. Resident bays, staff car parks and station car parks are normal venues when the car is legally parked and you can give access.

Yes. We'll come to the car in London, Birmingham or Manchester. You do not bring the car to a counter.
How do I ask for a price?
Use the quote form and type your mobile number. We call you back with a figure for that car. There is no fixed price list on this site.
Can you fit a battery I have bought?
Yes, if it is the correct type, size, terminal layout and rating. Say so on the quote form. The callback confirms whether that battery can be fitted.
What if the car is on a motorway?
If it is in a live lane, call 999 before you request a quote. We fit at a parked car, not in moving traffic.
