AGM battery replacement cost factors
An AGM costs what an AGM costs: the spec, where the battery sits, and any registration. We won't downgrade it to a flooded battery. We'll quote that car in London, Birmingham or Manchester.
AGM is the spec, not a trim level
If the car has an AGM, the quote is for an AGM. There is no flooded option that makes the job smaller. An AGM must not be downgraded. An EFB is also the wrong way down. The callback will not offer that path.
Ah, cold cranking current and case size still apply inside the AGM range. Two AGM batteries with different cases are different parts. Photograph the label so the quote matches the tray.
Location and registration
An AGM under a boot floor or under a seat takes more disassembly than an AGM in an open engine bay. That is a real difference in the work, and it belongs in the quote. Say which you have.
Registration is commonly required on Volkswagen Group and many BMW and Mini models, many of which use AGM, and it varies on other marques. When it is required it is part of the same visit and the same quote conversation. This page still has no printed price.
What the callback needs

A healthy 12V battery rests around 12.6V, including an AGM. Running charge is often about 13.8 to 14.7V, and smart charging can sit lower once the battery is reported full. The alternator is not a bulk charger. None of those checks replace an AGM with a lesser battery.

A worked example
One AGM is in the engine bay of a car that does not need registration. Another is under the boot floor of an Audi that does. Both stay AGM. The Audi quote includes registration and the boot trim. The first quote does not. Neither figure is printed here. Both come from the callback.
